Advertising Tower

History

In order to produce sugar, lime milk was needed to purify the beet juice. To obtain this, calcium-rich limestone was used on the CSM site. The lime kiln was lit three days before the beet harvest started and heated to up to 1,200 °C to burn the limestone, after which it could be further processed.

Development

The former lime kiln will be used in its new form as an advertising tower, where you can see at a glance what you can do and experience at SugarCity. Together with the two 50 metre-tall SugarCity silos, the Advertising Tower is one of SugarCity’s eye-catchers.
