Rob Peetoom, the icon of the hairdressing industry, celebrated his 50th anniversary ‘5 Decades of Beauty’ at SugarCity Events. A golden combination, as both the Rob Peetoom Academy and the brand new Rob Peetoom Factory are located in SugarCity.
More than 800 guests including family, business relations, employees and VIPs were invited to this spectacular anniversary party. The evening was all about beauty, fashion and entertainment – a nice contrast with the industrial character of the old factory. The guests were dressed in black tie and given a glass of champagne upon arrival. Big screens showed highlights from the life of Rob Peetoom.
To mark the occasion, the Middle Factory was transformed into a stylish dining room with beautifully decorated tables, where guests could enjoy dinner based on the shared dining concept, provided by Famous Flavours. The show opened with a spectacular act; from a height of 17 metres, a mannequin dressed in Mart Visser Couture descended to the catwalk that ran straight through the Middle Factory.
Singer Naaz also performed on this festive evening presented by Humberto Tan and Lieke van Lexmond. There was even music in the restrooms thanks to the drag queen DJs, and a dazzling after-party was held on the first floor.
As a tribute to Rob Peetoom and his impressive career, the new Bookazine was presented with the icon himself on the cover. In addition to celebrating Peetoom’s 50-year career, his jubilee was also a great moment to hand over the baton. Rochelle Peetoom (28) joins the hairdressing empire as the new CEO.
In connection with the rehearsals for the evening, the whole production was set up in just half a day by the team of parties selected by Rob Peetoom. The evening was a great success and everyone can look back on a fantastic time in honour of Rob Peetoom.
