Cooling water building

Designated use: restaurant

Just as for the Sugar Silos and the Limekiln, the redevelopment of the Cooling Water Building also preserves the original industrial character. The Cooling Water Building is situated next to the water since it was here that the water needed for processing the sugar was cooled. The building will be more transparent, with a great deal of glass in the facade and two glass domes on top. Inside it will again be possible to see some of the original cooling fins, while outside there will be a wonderful view of the pumping engine from the waterfront terrace.
